The Budi-G is a high-end boost/overdrive pedal, made in Japan, designed as an evolution of the Budi with a unique feature called "Gritty Gain": it adds a subtle, natural, and very dynamic saturation rather than a heavily compressed overdrive. It offers plenty of headroom and works particularly well for pushing a tube amp that's already slightly overdriven or for layering other overdrives, while preserving the character of the amp and guitar. It features Boost, Gain, Bass, and Treble controls, as well as an internal Saturation trimmer for fine-tuning the level of grit; its circuitry uses three FET transistors. Essentially, it's a very transparent booster that can also deliver a warm and gritty overdrive.
