Getzen 90 Deluxe Trumpet

952 Getzen Model 90 Deluxe Bb trumpet, made in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Serial number 13488, stamped on the second valve casing.

All three valves move freely. All slides move freely. Mother-of-pearl valve buttons present and intact. Nickel trim throughout. I haven't play-tested it and can't comment on intonation, valve compression, or how it sounds.

Cosmetically it shows its age: unlacquered brass with overall tarnish and patina, surface scratching to the bell, and spotting and discolouration in places. Photos show the condition throughout.

Includes the original hard case with the Getzen "De Luxe Model" label intact, and an original Getzen 5C mouthpiece. Total weight in case is 2.9 kg.

A note on the identification: I'm not a trumpet player or a brass specialist. The dating and model here come from cross-referencing the serial against the Brass History Getzen register, which reconstructs pre-1964 serial numbers from dated examples and receipts — Getzen's factory records were destroyed in the 1963 fire, so the register is the reference. Serials 13125 and 13655 are both documented there as 1952 Model 90 Deluxe trumpets, which places this one in that year. I've described it as accurately as I can, but I'd encourage you to check the research yourself if the exact year or model matters to you.
