The Diamond Vibrato, a Modern Classic Effects Pedal, Is Reissued

[Update: The lot of in-stock and ready to ship Diamond Vibrato pedals have now sold out in both variants. Both variants are instead available to preorder below.]

Due in no small part to Tame Impala's prominent use of the effect, original Diamond Vibrato pedals have soared in price on the used market. But to anyone worried that it was quickly turning into a new generation's Klon, rejoice: There are 400 new Diamond Vibrato reissues that include the original chips that powered the modern classic.

The Diamond Vibrato 2024 is available in a Reverb-exclusive Surf Green colorway (aka seafoam green), like the custom shop color of old, and in the standard purple.

What makes the Diamond Vibrato so special?

Like the original pedals, the new reissues use Panasonic MN3007 BBDs, a coveted bucket-brigade chip that is no longer in production. The first run of these Diamond Vibrato reissues—limited to 400 units—are built around a small supply of new-old-stock (NOS) chips.

So what can you expect? An analog, true-pitch vibrato pedal that sounds just as good—and could turn out to be nearly as coveted—as the original.

Diamond Vibrato 2024 features

The Diamond Vibrato 2024 reissues bring the circuitry of the original in a newly redesigned format, which offers the same sound in a pedal that's just half as large.

It includes:

  • All-analog bucket brigade circuitry
  • Updated Compandor design for increased clarity, less distortion and lower noise floor
  • Legendary MN3007 Bucket Brigade Delay chip—NOS Panasonic BBDs in first run.
  • Pedalboard-friendly enclosure with top jacks
  • Soft-touch relay-based true bypass switching
  • Variable chorus control for blending dry and wet signals
  • Standardized negative-center 9-18VDC input with polarity and over-voltage protection
  • Tone-shaping Jazz switch
  • Momentary or latching speed doubler
  • Wider speed range going from 0.1Hz to 20Hz.

So if you want the full vibrato glory of this modern classic, get one of these 400 Diamond Vibrato 2024 reissues while you can: available in the Reverb-exclusive Surf Green colorway and in the standard purple now.
