I'm selling my dad's guitar, a beautiful collector's item, full of stories.
This guitar was purchased new in Illinois, then travelled to California in 1969. The last photo is me as a new born, held by my dad, the guitar in the background. The photo before that is my parents in 1972, just two weeks after I was born. This is the only photo I could find of my dad playing the guitar.
It then travelled with them to Mexico where they retired in 1996, before coming with me to France after my dad passed in 2005.
Twenty years later, I still don't play guitar. I'd love to find someone who can appreciate the instrument as much as I do, but who can actually play it - give it life again.
There is a small crack in the veneer on the back of the guitar (caused by my high school boyfriend), but that is purely superficial and doesn't impact the sound (verified by my neighbor who is a professional musician).
I will include the original case if you want it - it's falling apart and needs to be restored.
The guitar is well worn and plays beautifully. Just needs a good home and some TLC.
