This Custom Shop Stratocaster is a reissue from the first year of production: 1954! Its maple neck (with a top-notch birdseye inlay) with a soft V profile and a maple fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius make it comfortable and easy to play. The ash body is enhanced by its flamed maple top and sunburst finish, though its construction differs from the original models. The pickup set consists of a trio of Vintage '54s. Dating from the period when John Page was at the helm of the Custom Shop, an era renowned for the quality of its instruments, it sounds fantastic! Note that the pickguard is cracked at the cutaway. It comes with its certificate of authenticity (reissued in 2019) and its original tweed case.
