Give your child the magic of music with a true vintage soul!
We present to your attention a stunning, authentic Soviet children's miniature mandolin. This instrument was manufactured at the famous "Octava" factory in the city of Izyaslav and has been preserved to this day in amazing, near-collectible condition.
Looking inside the soundhole, you can see the original factory paper label, which clearly states: factory "Octava", Izyaslav, Children's Mandolin, Price 2 Rubles 00 Kopecks, Order 2917.
The front soundboard is decorated with a very sweet, warm vintage design (pyrography / wood burning) depicting spring flowers and hardworking honeybees. This pattern instantly catches a child's eye and creates a sense of a fairy tale.
Why this is the perfect choice for teaching a child? Unlike a standard adult mandolin, which has complex double strings, this children's model is designed specifically for small hands and has only 4 single strings.
- Easy start: The instrument tunes and frets very softly, so your child's fingers won't get tired. This is a wonderful, much rarer and more interesting alternative to a standard ukulele.
- Talent development: Perfectly suited for getting a child used to string instruments, developing a sense of rhythm, fine motor skills, and a sincere love for music from a very young age.
- Weightless instrument: It weighs less than a glass of water! A child will be able to hold it and play for hours without getting tired at all.
Precise physical dimensions and characteristics:
- Total length of the instrument: 33.5 cm
- Width of the body itself (soundboard): 16.5 cm
- Body length up to the neck: 16 cm
- Weight: Only 185 grams! Super-lightweight.
- Number of strings: 4 single metal strings.
- Condition: Amazing. There are no cracks or serious defects on the body, neck, or tuning pegs. The lacquer shines, the peg mechanism is fully functional, and the wood has retained its deep, beautiful warm tint.
