The JMAcoustic Mag-Mute 5 is better than a sponge! This is the best bass mute we have ever played. It is great for getting that classic Motown sound. It sounds great, especially in the harder to mute higher register. The Mag-Mute is very quick and easy to deploy (unlike a sponge), and it will not slip out of position (unlike other mutes).
