The Origin 50 is an all-tube head designed to capture the character of vintage non-master volume Marshall amps from the ’60s–’70s, in a simpler and more accessible package. Delivering 50 watts with EL34 tubes, it offers a very open and dynamic sound, ranging from bright cleans to a typically British crunch when pushed. Its power scaling system makes it easier to use at lower volumes, although it truly shines when turned up. The “Tilt” control allows you to blend between brighter and warmer tones, reminiscent of jumpered channels on vintage Plexi amps. Highly effective as a pedal platform, it pairs especially well with overdrives, fuzz, and boosts, making it an excellent choice for fans of vintage rock tones. Sold with its footswitch.
