The Marauder is an atypical Fender inspired by a never-commercialized 1960s prototype. It combines a Jazzmaster-style neck pickup with a versatile Triplebucker bridge pickup, controlled by a 5-way selector offering tones ranging from single-coil to a more powerful humbucker. The maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius. With its koto body, Strat-style tremolo, and retro-futuristic offset look, it stands out for its great versatility as well as a character that is less “typically Fender,” making it an original and sought-after model on the used market, especially for players looking to move beyond the Stratocaster/Telecaster path. The tuners have been replaced with Gotoh locking tuners.
