Hawaiian Koa is a premium material used for high-quality acoustic guitars.
Traditionally used to make the backs and sides of ukuleles and guitars.
Koa produces a warm, rich tone that is somewhat similar to the soft sound of mahogany, but with slightly more pronounced highs.
Koa has a higher density than Mahogany, resulting in a brighter tone.
Due to its oily nature, the high frequencies are slightly subdued.
Overall, Koa tones are more focused on the midrange.
Highs are smooth and strong.
When played, the sound quality is sweet.
