For sale, this beautiful late 70s Ovation Magnum II, original Red finish.

In very good condition. Everything works perfectly, and sounds enormous. Has some dents on the body and back of the neck (see photos, it’s all here), but it’s more than 50-years old. And I just noticed after taking the pictures but the bit of pick guard on the upper right, hiding the batteries for the preamp, is just loose here, not broken. I couldn’t figure out how to close it properly with the peculiar big screw.

Very unique and bold design-wise/ sound-wise.
Still, pretty versatile as the two pickups are completely different entities on their own: the big neck PU being huge, boomy and bassy; the bridge PU quite trebly, spanky, precise. And of course both can be combined in the middle position for a large array of possibilities.
Plus the integrated active preamp works very well, and those sliders look so cool.

You want a unique, idiosyncratic, under the radar cult piece of bass?
The Magnum II is for you.

Comes with quality hard case, non-original.
