1969 GIBSON LES PAUL PROFESSIONAL
A Gibson Les Paul Professional Model (1969), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in very good condition and completely original.
The Les Paul Professional was the second instrument designed by Paul himself with Gibson after his return to the company in 1968. While Kalamazoo was primarily interested in reissuing the original models from the 1950s, an agreement was also reached to more faithfully recreate Les Paul’s highly customized and unique guitars for sale to guitarists around the world. The two low-impedance pickups are designed to be paired with an external impedance corrector. The Les Paul Professional is equipped with a “Decade” switch offering 10 different tone presets, a 3-position tone selector, and a phase/out-of-phase switch. This model was only produced for less than two years before being replaced by the Les Paul Recording model, which was similar but featured several simplifications. This example is equipped with potentiometers dating from the 44th week of 1969. A cool and unusual variant of the Les Paul, this guitar is enjoyable to play, even if it certainly doesn’t have the same vibe as a classic “rock” Les Paul. Comes in its original case.
