Ultra Rare Model
The Gibson Flying V debuted ahead of its time in 1958 with a Korina body and neck, only to vanish from the market almost immediately. Returning in '67, it featured a mahogany body and neck with large pickguard- a model that continues to this day.
This ultra-rare model, produced in 2001 by the Gibson Custom Art & Historic Division, is coined the '67 Flying V-K, utilizing '58 style korina wood for the body and neck while retaining other specifications of the '67 model. It features a Vibrola tremolo and cherry red finish, giving it an incredibly unique spec set.
As an early Custom Shop model, it features superb craftsmanship and sports a notably thick but narrow neck with a nut width of approximately 40mm.
Equipped with a Burstbucker #2 pickup in the front and a #3 in the rear, this incredible V combines the most tasteful and sought after aspects of various eras.
This extremely limited model is a must have for FV collectors.
CONDITION
This used guitar has minor wear including small scratches and light clouding of the hardware, but is in overall beautiful shape for its age.
Frets and neck are in great condition with playability optimal after professional maintenance.
