The Future Impact Mk I was created by Panda MIDI as a modern successor to the sought-after Akai SB-1 Deep Impact. Built for bassists wanting authentic synth-bass tones, it recreates the character of the original while adding more speed and flexibility.
Inside is a dedicated synth engine with oscillators, filters, envelopes, and large processing blocks capable of producing classic monophonic, Moog-style bass sounds with thick low end. It runs on contemporary DSP that operates dramatically faster than the 90s-era Deep Impact, yet still draws only about 70mA from a standard 9V supply.
