bill krinard original 1947 newcomb H14 15W hot rod.

this is an incredibly singular low wattage custom amp with a unique voice. reminds me of holy grail pedal voicings. but no pedal no matter how great will ever compare to a great baseline amp sound. all products you see here also for sale locally. call with any questions! the beauty of this amp is that it offers disgusting punk tone at a manageable volume. with these amps you'll find single notes sound like chords, there's artifacts, ghosting, harmonics, howling and superb fidelity. only selling this one because all my low wattage amps are going away, i have other higher wattage newcombs.

about as low as it gets for price. (both my bill filmosounds sold last year for over $3K). but this custom amp is way better, and much rarer than any hot rodded filmosound. the absolute lowest point of entry for one of bill's "covid collection", as most are selling for 2, 3, 4 times this price. and i doubt we'll ever see any more small amps in this lower wattage ever produced again. this is an incredibly special collection of amps. these are signed original creations and they are quite simply, to many of us, the greatest guitars amps ever for rock 'n roll. what bill's done here is break new ground; these are menacing at a level very few people have ever heard before and likely ever will. this is the lowest point of entry into that world.

i have only a few of these left, 3 of them happen to be newcombs. the people who buy them all say the same exact thing, and every single person comes back for another. no surprise there. (read below) this listing is for the smallest, lowest wattage, lowest cost of this newcomb krinard trio, it's built in an H14 chassis using the newcomb transformers. the newcomb's have a sonic character all their own and bill is the master of enhancing upon that (i'd say best in the world with no close 2nd). i know other famous amp builders. they are techs, not artists. they are not driven to create or paint in this fashion. all i can say is we are unbelievably lucky to have these amps here. the most interesting thing is they never get old, instead they grow on you. it's a mind blow every damn time. no tweeds here, no vintage holy grail marshalls. every single damn one of them, long gone. useless.

loads of nasty incomparable treble distortion. here you have a single input, 4/8/16, irc power and the blending of treble, bass and two live volumes. the newcomb amps are ratty, raspy, nasty, phenomenal. i personally have a particular collection of these that i wouldn't sell for any price. every one is unique, bespoke, they are incomparable and irreplaceable. all my friends in major bands, their tone pales in comparison. i can say that with total confidence. it's a fact, that's just the way it is. not everyone cares at this level. obviously an actual dumble amp has no place in rock r roll, that should be obvious at this point. this is the other end of the spectrum. there is nowhere to go from here. no one buys just one. every single person so far has come back for another, or two. that's just the way it is.

this 1st collection of amps were hand selected over the course of 3-4 intense trial days and i now only have a few left. you'll often find most people selling amps like this (especially the past year) have zero clue what they're talking about. we're talking zero. they certainly don't have the ability to provide highly detailed professional demos with pro audio, to provide comparison, or highly personalized service. these amps will indeed go down in history. i for one haven't owned a production amp with modern parts in decades, at this point i wouldn't even allow one in my house. having worked in LA the past 30+ years, i don't like what i see. nothing but compromise. loads of digital crap, chinese crap, and people not caring. lots of modern marshalls. and deaf people. what's happening here is authentically separate from the music business, and certainly the gear business. what i see is certain amp builders thinking that their so called "rare" (not) ebay parts are somehow producing magical sounds. that's it. it's that simple? constantly hustling, lying, scamming, taking advantage of fans of certain bands. it's like a disease, and it's disgusting to watch innocent people fork over thousands for shitty amp after shitty amp. they're filling a void for generic people. there will always be a demand for generic compromised products. this is the opposite of that.

i've listed recent testimonials below, copied from my site. this is a 15w amp and it's priced accordingly. when volume is an issue, these lower wattage amps are indispensable. or if you want it at 50w you can just use a power station and play stadiums. if you're interested in others' opinions, a copycat, sheep, unsure, messageboard person, etc, then this highly prized custom guitar amp is not for you.

There are no words that I can write, say, or think that will that would do justice to what’s going on in that room. It looks absolutely incredible. The collection is beyond unreal. Frankly, I’ve been around for a long time and I’ve hung with and worked with the biggest and best artists around and no one has anything close to what you have in your room. You’d be surprised at how minimal the gear is for most of the heavy cats. If I had a person who was in the market for anything seriously high end, you are the only person I could send them to. It’s the nicest music store nobody’s ever been to. I can’t wait to play around over there. Now I have to start tracking music for these short films and social media blasts.
