Here we have a beautiful 1979 Gibson Les Paul Standard in cherry sunburst finish with its original hardcase. The guitar is all original except for the tuners which were replaced with original Gibson tuners after previously being fitted with Schaller tuners. The guitar is in excellent condition. There is a small crack in the pickguard but otherwise no damage. The guitar plays and sounds fantastic. It sings its own song with a nearly endless sustain. The neck is straight, the originals frets are still very good and the action is extremely low. The weight of 4,7 kg is within the usual range. The pots are dated 27th and 28th week of 1979. The neck pickup is dated Sept 19th of 1979 and the bridge pickup is missing the date stamp. The case is in excellent condition for its age, all latches and hinges work. It shows normal signs of wear and tear, as well as some residue from a removed sticker. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
