While Sire's T7 FM model departs quite heavily from the original T-type blueprint, it does pay homage to this seminal instrument with an orthodox Alder body that guarantees a tight, balanced tone — the perfect tonal platform for the thick-sounding pickups.
However, Sire has put its own spin on this recognisable body shape by adding a shallow contour at the back of the lower cutaway. This minor yet thoughtful construction tweak therefore enables easier access to the upper frets, so that there are less limits to your creativity!
Many modern high-end instruments come fitted with roasted Maple necks, yet Sire has somehow managed to fit its affordable T7 FM with one — providing you with a truly premium look and feel. "Roasting" is a process that is used to remove all of the natural moisture retained by a tonewood, which ultimately darkens the material and makes it far less vulnerable to warping when exposed to varying climates.
