1951 Epiphone FT-79 – Kurt Cobain Nirvana Nixon Now – Bartolini 3AV
Some guitars have a story to tell. This one feels like it came straight out of Nirvana history.
An authentic 1951 Epiphone FT-79, remarkably close to Kurt Cobain's legendary acoustic, featuring a genuine 1972 Nixon Now campaign sticker and an original 1990s Bartolini 3AV soundhole pickup.
Same model. Same year. Same legendary look.
During my ownership, all visible splits were professionally repaired by a master luthier. The guitar has been completely refretted, the fingerboard restored, and the neck angle is excellent — no neck reset needed.
Beautifully low action, effortless playability, and an absolutely incredible sound. Plugged in through the vintage Bartolini, it delivers that raw, intimate, unmistakable MTV Unplugged character.
75 years of history, genuine vintage wear, and an extraordinary presence.
Closer to Kurt's legendary Epiphone? Hard to imagine.
Nirvana vibes guaranteed!
