Overview: Shenandoah models were mostly built in Japan with good materials and then shipped to Martin in PA for final fitting, spraying, and assembly. They're a lot like modern "Made in USA" consumer electronics and amps -- built part there and part here. The result is a high-quality guitar that looked and felt like a proper Martin and was a lot more affordable than a normal Martin D at the time.

This one has that classic dreadnought sound with a bit of girthy bottom-end and good volume and punch. I like this guitar a lot as a chord-chucker or backup guitar but it can certainly zip some lead lines and crosspick just fine, too.

Repairs included: I gave this a neck reset and Jake Too gave it a level/dress of the frets, fit a new saddle, and set it up. He also took care of a couple of hairline cracks on the top. It's playing spot-on and ready to go. It's also got a K&K pickup installed, too.

There's weather-check throughout the finish here and there and light scuffs, scratches, and nicks here and there as well. The heel cap is missing. There's an added strap button near the heel. The bridge pins are not original and brass.

It comes with: It has a decent case.
