Founded in 1974 by Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug, Taylor Guitars combines technology and craftsmanship in every detail, from the selection of wood to processing and finishing. Their innovative yet deeply traditional and rational production process has become the mainstream of American acoustic guitars. This particular instrument is a 212ce Plus with an all-gloss finish and black binding for a sharper look. It features a torified Sitka spruce top for a rich, aged tone, gorgeous rosewood sides and back, a slim, narrow neck, a cutaway, and an ES2 pickup, all in a comfortable Grand Concert shape. With its well-balanced sound, wide playability thanks to the cutaway, and line output via the pickup, this is an all-around model that accommodates a wide range of playing styles.
