Vintage AKG D19 from the 1950s/60s, bearing the Siemens brand. It is essentially a genuine AKG D19, with the Siemens marking instead of the more common AKG logo.Professionally refurbished by “Lust for Mics” in Bologna, Italy, a specialist in these microphones, it sounds fantastic, with the beautiful, unmistakable D19 character that makes these vintage microphones so special.It is marked D19 60 ohms, although it sounds like a 200 ohm version, with the higher output typical of that version. The impedance ring may have been replaced at some point in its history, as the microphone sounds and behaves like a 200 ohm D19.The microphone looks great despite some cosmetic scratches and signs of age.The Speech/Music selector ring spins freely, as the microphone has been set permanently to the M position, which is the correct setting for music and how the microphone should be used.It comes with its original box, original 1960s packaging, an unassembled DIN connector, the original Tuchel connector marked Made in West Germany, still in its original wrapping, and the original tabletop stand with microphone holder.For complete transparency, there is a faint sound of something moving inside the microphone body when it is shaken. I mention this purely out of meticulousness, as it has absolutely no effect on the microphone’s sound or performance.A beautiful vintage AKG D19, ideal for recording, collectors and anyone looking for the unmistakable sound of this classic microphone.
