Reverend Gristlemaster – Greg Koch Signature – Bluecifer
Before purchasing, please contact me first, as the guitar is also listed on local marketplaces.
For sale is my Reverend Gristlemaster, Greg Koch’s signature model. It’s a fairly rare guitar on the used market and, in my opinion, one of the most thoughtfully designed modern takes on a Telecaster.
The guitar comes equipped with an active Fishman Gristle-Tone pickup set, offering two completely different voicings. You could basically call it a 2-in-1 Tele: the first voicing has a lower output and gives you a more traditional, classic Tele sound, while the second adds more output, punch and thickness – essentially a “Tele on steroids”, while still retaining the character and attack of single coils. And, of course, the pickups are virtually noise-free.
Condition / important information
- I am the first owner.
- Purchased new from Thomann (01.2026)
- There are still more than 2 years of warranty remaining, so the guitar is practically new.
- Technically and visually it is in excellent / near-mint condition.
- There is one very small and barely visible scratch on the fretboard in the higher register, which was already there when the guitar arrived. According to my guitar tech, it most likely happened during the factory fret finishing process. I believe it could probably be polished out if desired.
