Well, here's one we don't expect to see again! A new-old-stock example of the late-90's - early-2000's Remo "Gold Crown" drums! You'd be hard-pressed to find another set of Remo drums in new-old-stock condition. These were produced during the period that Jeff Hamilton was endorsing Remo drums and are outfitted with Remo Fiberskyns. Sized 14x18", 8x12", 14x14" and 5x14" finished in black lacquer, these drums were unwrapped for their photoshoot then carefully rewrapped back in their same packaging, seen at the end off our photoset. The snare drum was boxed without packaging, so its packaging is unoriginal. Not that it really matters - but a nice extra little detail to a new-old-stock set! Note: The Gold Crown Remo badge's corners stick out on each drum, pictured at the very end of our photoset they came that way new.
Steve’s notes: These drums really sound wonderful. Just look up any video of Jeff playing one of these sets. I usually do a video for a kit like this but since it is New Old Stock I will leave it unplayed.
Remo Gold Crown Drums featured an "advanced acousticon" shell with properties somewhere between maple and birch, plus a 45 degree edge.
