A rare opportunity to acquire a complete and operational Euphonix CS3000 system, one of the most advanced large-format recording and mixing consoles of its era.

Originally purchased from Lundgaard Studios in Denmark approximately five years ago, this system has since been professionally maintained and operated in a private recording studio in Finland. The console remains in regular use and has been powered and operated consistently rather than left in storage.

About Euphonix CS3000
The 112 input Euphonix CS3000 is an assignable console i.e. it is an analogue console with digital control, this means that the audio signal remains in the analogue domain, no A/D or D/A conversion, however the controls are digital. Every function on the desk is automated and can be stored and recalled at the touch of a button, just like a digital console but with superior analogue sound. The system comprises the control surface (desk), towers (audio electronics), patchbay, 5 x 8 sets of ES-108 Dynamics, The Cube rack plus interconnecting cables.

Each channel has 6 inputs (2 mic inputs and 4 line inputs). There are 2 EQs per channel. Each ES-108 module has 8 channels of dynamic processing that integrate into the Euphonix mixing environment.

Complete snapshots can be stored and recalled against timecode, furthermore, the console also has dynamic automation on every fader, pot and switch. Every desk function can be automated, stored and recalled at will, just like a digital console but with analogue audio!

Another advantage : Because the signal does not go through the console you never get any noisy pots or faders and no clicks on switches - ever.

The Euphonix CS3000 represented the absolute top tier of recording console technology during the 1990s, with original system costs often exceeding €250,000 depending on configuration.

The platform became known for its innovative hybrid architecture, extensive automation capabilities, assignable channel structure and integrated dynamics processing.

The CS3000 was used in world-class recording facilities and remains highly regarded by engineers who worked with large-format production consoles during the transition from analog to digital workflows.

Condition

The system is sold as-is.

It is currently operational and has been used regularly in our studio. However, as with any vintage professional recording system of this complexity, buyers should expect ongoing maintenance and technical knowledge may be required for future operation and servicing.

This is a professional studio installation, not a consumer product.

Logistics

The system is located in Tammisaari (Ekenäs), Finland.

Inspection is welcome by appointment.

The buyer is responsible for dismantling, transportation and shipping arrangements, although reasonable assistance can be provided during collection. Shipping arrangements can be discussed. We have a big van if needed at extra cost.
