This amp was shipped to us and I was absolutely floored when I opened the packages. It is a stunning example — near mint condition on a 1963 Fender Bandmaster piggyback in smooth white tolex, with the original Victoria Luggage Company covers for both the head and cabinet. I went through the head to inspect it and was pleased to find that the previous owner had all the work done that I would have performed myself, done professionally, with original parts left in all the right places. I ran it up on the scope after testing all the tubes and saw a perfect trace. When I plugged in and turned it up I laughed out loud — this thing kills.

The AA763 circuit is the blackface Bandmaster — introduced in the summer of 1963 when Fender transitioned from the blonde 6G7-A circuit to the black panel cosmetics and revised circuit topology that would define the company's sound through the CBS acquisition and into the late 1960s. A 1963 AA763 Bandmaster in white tolex is a transitional instrument — the new blackface circuit in the older white cabinet cosmetics that were phased out in favor of black tolex as the decade progressed. The combination of white tolex with the blackface circuit makes this one of the most visually and historically interesting Bandmasters produced, and near mint condition on a 60-year-old white tolex amp is a genuinely extraordinary finding.

Both Oxford 12" speakers are original with original cones — manufacturer codes confirming Oxford production from weeks 32 and 36 of 1963, correct and contemporary with this amp's assembly. Original Schumacher power transformer dated week 5 of 1963, original Schumacher output transformer dated week 22 of 1963, original Schumacher choke dated week 40 of 1963 — all intact and confirmed. The amp has been properly serviced: filter caps replaced, bias and bypass caps updated, power cord upgraded to grounded three-prong. Original pots. Sylvania 6L6 power tubes, Lindall preamp tubes. The non-original footswitch is included for vibrato switching.

The smooth white tolex is original throughout — both head and cabinet — in near mint condition that is genuinely rare for a 60-year-old amplifier that was clearly used and cared for rather than stored unplayed. The wheat grille cloth is original and excellent. Original pine cabinet and plywood baffle, mint. Original chassis throughout. The original Victoria Luggage Company covers for both head and cabinet are included — the head cover in near mint condition, the cabinet cover in very good condition.

Shipping Policy
By completing your purchase you are agreeing to this shipping policy. Shipments require signature on delivery, no exceptions. Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely. If there is damage, retain all packing materials intact, photograph them immediately, and send the photos to .

Amplifiers: We take additional precautions to prevent common shipping damage. Depending on the amp, this may include removing tubes, pulling the chassis from the cabinet if heavy transformers present a drop risk, or removing heavy speakers that could crack baffles in transit. Reassembly is required on delivery — we label everything clearly. These measures add to shipping costs but reflect hard-won experience. All amps are tested in our shop upon intake and again before shipping. We cover shipping damage but cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in instruments that are 20 to 50-plus years old.
