Roland Juno-60 – Legendary Polyphonic Analog Synth with MIDI, Needs Service

For Sale, we have a vintage Roland Juno-60, one of the most iconic polyphonic synthesizers of the 1980s and a true classic in the world of analog synths. Known for its lush analog sound, signature onboard chorus, and immediate hands-on controls, the Juno-60 remains a studio and stage favorite among producers and musicians worldwide. It features a single digitally-controlled oscillator (DCO) per voice, a warm and musical filter section, an onboard arpeggiator, and the instantly recognizable stereo chorus effect that has defined countless recordings. Unlike the earlier Juno-6, the Juno-60 includes patch memory storage, making it a versatile performance instrument.

This particular unit has some functional issues that need attention. Patch buttons 5 and 6 are not working, and the save button is non-functional. The synth is essentially stuck in automatic LFO mode, and the octave transpose control shifts the pitch downward even when the “Up” setting is selected. Despite these quirks, the synth still produces its signature analog tones, though servicing will be required to restore full functionality.

An aftermarket MIDI kit has been installed, which allows MIDI implementation in the Juno-60. This modification expands the instrument’s capabilities by making it easier to integrate into modern studio setups or live rigs. Cosmetically, the unit shows normal signs of age and use, but overall remains in good vintage condition with its original wood side panels intact.

Because of its timeless sound and reputation, the Roland Juno-60 continues to be one of the most sought-after analog synthesizers. With some repair and servicing, this synth could once again deliver everything from lush pads and soaring leads to pulsing arpeggios and deep basses.
