Multiple Saturation Pedal / Fuzz / Overdrive / Bit Crusher
Controls:
Switch - Like all WMD pedals, the GCCI (Geiger Counter Civilian Issue) is hand-wired and true bypass, so it won't affect your sound when turned off. When the GCCI is turned on, the red LED lights up.
Gain - The gain control provides anywhere from a nice clean tone to a ton of overdrive. Use it to hit the function tables harder or softer to produce different amounts of harmonics.
Tone - The tone control can be used to refine the harmonic content of the function tables. Use lower settings for fewer higher-level harmonics.
Function - Turning this knob will change the number displayed on the screen. It ranges from 0 to 9 and from A to F. This selects the 16 presets inside the GCCI. Press the button to activate low fidelity mode for each preset. Low fidelity (Lo-Fi) mode is indicated by the decimal point on the screen. Each function recalls the settings of the original Geiger counter, including bit depth, sampling frequency, and wave table. The wave tables are shown in the manual. As your guitar string oscillates up and down, the wave table is played from left to right starting from the center. The output is what is vertically on the graph. The more movement there is in the function, the more harmonic content you will get.
Volume - Adjusts the output volume of the GCCI, which can go up to 5 Vpp, enough to really crush the input stage of your amp.
Specifications:
Battery and 9VDC jack - WMD recommends using a BOSS-style 9V power adapter (2.1mm center negative). A battery clip is included, but is recommended for backup power only as the GCCI uses a lot of power (approximately 40 mA). A battery may last as little as 5 hours.
