This is a stunning Courtois Levy's Model cornet with deluxe gold leaf engraving. S/N 14xxx under the third valve cap puts this horn made in the early 1880s. Comes with 3 tuning bits, this cornet can play in high and low pitch. There is a patch at the crook of the cornet as shown in the photo, some minor red rot in the leadpipe, and the original valves can use some help from thicker oil to keep compression. Otherwise, the horn is in excellent shape, with gorgeous engraving on the bell that also has gold leaves.
