The Original Series was Lowden's first series in 1976, with the O model being George Lowden's original design. Within Lowden's Original Series you can choose from various body shapes and different combinations of tonewoods. Each tonewood combination has its own type number, with the existing 22, 23, 25, 32 and 34 being supplemented with the 20 series from now on.
This series uses Sitka spruce for the top with a mahogany back and sides. The natural appearance of the guitar is also enhanced by beautiful details such as the maple binding and multi-layer purfling and rosette. The ebony fingerboard and rosewood headstock overlay adorn the five-piece neck, a style element typical of Lowden guitars.
The O-body shape lends itself perfectly to drop tunings, and this is where the fascinating sound capacities of this guitar come to the fore. Deep resonant lows are accompanied by sparkling clear highs, bringing the guitar close to the complex audio palette of a piano.
Whether it's refined dynamic fingerstyle or loud strumming, this Lowden O20 will take your playing to the next level!
