About this listing
A guitar that revives the 1951 "Nocaster," considered the origin of the Telecaster. This is a 2000 model from Fender Custom Shopfs Time Machine series, featuring the 1951 Nocaster Closet Classic Honey Blonde finish. It features the classic configuration of an ash body paired with a one-piece maple neck, emblematic of the Blackguard era. It features a quick, dry attack and powerful mids, allowing you to fully appreciate the direct tone resulting from its simple construction. The hand-wound '51 Nocaster pickups are characterized by harmonics that blend sharpness with a touch of grit, delivering a vintage-like sound that sets it apart from current models. Finished in the Closet Classic style, this guitar features weather checking and a moderate patina that conveys a sense of age, while avoiding excessive distressing. The controls feature vintage wiring that follows the specifications of the era. It features a unique 3-way configuration distinct from modern Telecasters, allowing you to enjoy the distinctive tonal variations characteristic of early Telecasters, such as a direct signal from the neck position that bypasses the tone circuit and preset bass-heavy sounds. And the neck material is particularly noteworthy. The maple neck features striking flame patterns, and the three-dimensional grain that shifts depending on the angle exudes a strong presence. Among the many plain-looking Nocaster models, this one clearly stands out with its distinctive appearance, which is sure to greatly enhance your playing experience. This is a guitar that boasts a high level of craftsmanship in both appearance and sound, while also possessing its own distinct charm. As this is a relic-finished instrument, it is difficult to distinguish between new scratches, natural aging, and signs of use. Please be aware of this in advance. There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it is in excellent playing condition. Certificate of Authenticity is missing.
