Mu-Tron Micro-Tron IV — Envelope Filter (rare on the used market!)
Up for sale is a Mu-Tron Micro-Tron IV in excellent condition, fully working and sounding glorious. This is currently one of the very few used Micro-Tron IVs available anywhere — they rarely come up for sale.
The Micro-Tron IV is the latest and most refined incarnation of the legendary Mu-Tron III envelope filter, built by Mu-Tron/Musitronics with their MU Opto-Mod technology. Compared to the Micro-Tron III, the IV adds two significant upgrades:
• OUTPUT level control — proper gain staging for any rig
• CV input — plug in an expression pedal (e.g. Dunlop DVP4) with no modification, plus footswitchable UP/DOWN drive
Powered by standard 9V DC. It sounds fantastic on guitar, bass, keys, horns — anything you feed it. Designed for passive-level signals, it responds beautifully to picking dynamics.
