For sale is a Fender Stratocaster Standard made in Mexico, manufactured in 2000, serial nr. MZ0019230.

We wanted to remove the pickguard to peel off the original protective film and clean it. Unfortunately, my child accidentally threw the original screws into the trash. Because of this, we decided not to take the pickguard off at all and just put in some random screws we had lying around.

The guitar comes in a classic Sunburst finish and features a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, as well as the traditional "skunk stripe" on the back of the neck (for the truss rod channel). This detail, the classic skunk stripe on the back of the neck, is no longer found on many modern, cheaper models (such as Mexican Fenders in the entry-level price range between 500 and 600 euros). Fender enthusiasts appreciate this feature all the more, as it is often only found on more expensive instruments nowadays.

The tuners are stable and hold their tuning very well.

The typical Stratocaster sound with clear clean tones and classic Fender twang is fully present.

The guitar has barely been played. The frets are almost like new and show virtually no wear. The neck plays very comfortably, and the instrument is in overall good condition.

The tremolo arm is missing.

The pickguard originally had a protective film on it. This was never fully removed and has partially worked its way into the surface over the years. Visually, this gives it a slightly aged look, but it can be removed mechanically with a fingernail if needed. However, I deliberately decided to leave the remains of the film where they are. This look gives the instrument an authentic vintage appearance.

The guitar was originally bought in 2000 for learning purposes, but was hardly used and has been stored away for many years.

Technically, the instrument works perfectly and is ready to play. The high E string is currently missing; a complete string change is standard practice for used guitars.
