This is a 2001 Godin Multiac Steel SA, made in Canada and offered for sale in very good condition complete with its original hard shell case.
The Multiac SA has long been regarded as one of the most versatile stage and studio instruments available, combining the feel of an electric guitar with authentic acoustic tones and advanced synth connectivity. Its chambered mahogany body design virtually eliminates feedback at stage volumes while delivering a rich, natural acoustic voice through the onboard custom piezo pickup system and active preamp.
Featuring an ebony fingerboard with a comfortable 12" radius, this example offers exceptional playability and a fast, familiar feel for electric guitar players transitioning to acoustic sounds.
The SA model incorporates Godin's hexaphonic pickup system and 13-pin synth output, allowing direct connection to Roland GR-series guitar synthesizers and compatible MIDI systems. This opens up a vast palette of sounds including pianos, strings, brass, pads, and synthesizers, all controlled directly from the guitar with impressive tracking accuracy. At the same time, the standard output delivers the clear, articulate acoustic tones that have made the Multiac a favourite among professional touring and recording musicians.
Our example shows only light cosmetic marks consistent with age and careful use. There are some small marks and minor dings on the back of the neck.
A highly practical and exceptionally capable instrument that remains one of the benchmark electro-acoustic and MIDI-capable guitars ever produced.
