This Charvel USA Custom Shop DK 2H is a highly desirable custom-built instrument featuring a rare Mahogany body, rather than the more commonly used Basswood body found on most DK models. Equipped with a powerful EMG pickup combination, premium hardware, and the exceptional craftsmanship that the Charvel Custom Shop is known for, this guitar is purpose-built for high-performance playing.

One of the most distinctive features of this instrument is its Mahogany body, which delivers a thicker midrange response and richer low-end compared to standard Basswood-bodied DK models. Combined with the renowned EMG 81 / 85 pickup set, it produces crushing metal tones with exceptional clarity while maintaining excellent articulation and sustain for lead playing.

The neck is constructed from Quarter-Sawn Roasted Maple, providing superior rigidity, stability, and resistance to seasonal climate changes. The 12"-16" compound radius fingerboard and 24 Jumbo frets offer outstanding playability, allowing for comfortable chord work in lower positions and effortless high-speed soloing across the entire neck.

A Hipshot String-Thru Fixed Bridge paired with Gotoh tuners ensures excellent tuning stability, direct attack, and enhanced sustain. The string-thru-body construction further contributes to resonance and note definition.

Visually, the guitar combines a Natural-finished Mahogany body with a striking Jackson-style Reverse Pointed Headstock, delivering the aggressive aesthetic Charvel is famous for while showcasing the beauty of the wood grain.
