I’m selling this beautiful 1961 Gibson SG, which was originally still called a “Les Paul” in ’61.
It has been refinished in black, giving it a look very similar to the main SG Angus Young is currently playing on tour… and that’s definitely a nice bonus! ⚡️
The pickups are Dr. Nitro PAFs, handmade to replicate the legendary pickups from the early ’60s.
As was common in 1961, the fretboard is Brazilian rosewood, denser and darker than the rosewood typically found on modern or more recent guitars. The guitar therefore comes with documents proving the origin of the wood, as it is now a protected and regulated species.
It’s a very comfortable guitar to play, capable of producing beautiful cleans, tasty crunch tones, and of course serious high-gain sounds thanks to these very versatile, high-quality pickups.
