The StingRay is the flagship of Music Man's range, and has the same features it had some forty years ago.
The StingRay was introduced in 1976 and is regarded as one of the most iconic bass guitars in history, and was the first four-string production bass with built-in active EQ. The solid roadworthy body with the iconic oval pickguard and ever-popular Music Man Humbuckers provide a look, feel and sound that is unmistakable!
The sculpted neck joint provides unhindered access to all 22 stainless steel frets on the roasted maple neck. The improved body contours are rounded for more comfort in any playing position, while maintaining the iconic StingRay sound. The new and improved pickups have powerful neodymium magnets, giving the StingRay more output and a wider range of sounds. With a newly designed 18-volt 3-band preamp for extra clean headroom, you are capable of everything; from modern punch to classic, vintage tones.
This StingRay Special 4 is finished in a striking matte Black Rock finish and comes with a TFOA passport in a Mono Softshell case
