To those desperately searching for the Brown sound!
A magnificent piece of rock and roll history...
A 1973 Marshall Superlead 1959 with the specs of the '68/EVH model (including the 50k mid pot...) with PPIMV master volume mod, Fat Cap mod, NFB mod...
The knob on the front panel is the master volume control, which allows you to adjust the volume and get the most out of the Plexi even at low levels.
The modifications do not alter the sound of the Plexi in any way; they are mainly superficial changes, adjustments to the values of certain components or replacements based on the particularities of Eddie Van Halen's Plexi “12301,” and are completely reversible.
Fat cap and NFB mods (as Friedman and Suhr amp) are simply a switch that allows you to choose between two different component values (caps to Cap mod and resistor to NFB mod) that influence the sound and allow you to refine it.
Serviced, tubes replaced shortly after Covid, very little use since (no rehearsals/gigs, only at home to play a few big riffs from time to time!).
It is in impeccable condition (for its age)... works 100%!
Ideal for playing what a PLEXI is meant to play! But especially Van Halen, Ratt, Dokken tones ! 😉
Original transformers. Retubed with EL34 JJ Red power tubes.
Sold with its custom-made flight case.
(shipping rates may be adjusted depending on the delivery location; insurance covering the purchase value is included)
