Hammond / Suzuki Midi Step MIDI BASS PEDAL w/ power supply

In 1986 liet Hammond Suzuki door Fast Forward Designs een midi pedaal ontwerpen.

Fast Forward Designs was een amerikaans bedrijfje van Marcus Ryle en Michel Doidic (beiden ex-Oberheim engineurs), die later het nog steeds beroemde bedrijf Line 6 zouden stichten.

De produktie van de Midi Step geschiedde bij Hammond Suzuki Ltd. in Japan.

Hij had in veel opzichten overeenkomsten met de Roland PK-5 al was de Roland veel eenvoudiger te bedienen (wat nog steeds het geval is met de Hammond XPK-modellen.)

Het pedaal beschikte echter wel over een flink aantal midi-commando's, waaronder, net als de PK-5, een hold function. Deze gaf aan het gebruikte geluid een soort SUSTAIN functie, fijn voor de organist.
