Malaise is a clone (with mods) of the discontinued Dwarfcraft Devices Robot Devil.
Unlike the original, Malaise has separate controls for one octave down and two octaves down. Very useful and combined with the Starve control, this thing can get really crazy.

Dwarfcraft gives the Robot Devil a number of distinctive squealing noises that you can control with the knobs on your guitar. A mistracked octave or two bursts out of the Devil pedal, punishing your amp and your mind with square waves of doom.
