Sorry!!

Please Note! I receive many messages from customers wanting to purchase however it says "out of stock" When going to pay. As I am located in Australia, Reverb only allows PayPal to be the Merchant to manage the payment.

A paypal Account is Not Required and Credit card payment is available. They are simply acting as the Merchant.

If you select any other form of Payment (ie Reverb Payments) etc etc it will say the item is out of stock!

I have contacted Reverb several times about this, but this message seems to be the only solution!

We now can offer a more economical version of the 80/A Flanger by using a slightly less obsolete NOS Panasonic MN3007 BBD!

The PastFx 80/A MN3007 Flanger is based upon a venerable late 70’s, early 80’s discontinued analog flanger pedal famously utilised by numerous musicians, including the likes of master guitarists Pat Travers and Paul Gilbert. It uses a high voltage Panasonic 1024 stage Bucket Brigade Device with  extra features and functions all in a small Pedal Board Friendly sized enclosure.

From subtle modulation, to soaring jet woosh, to metallic clang and out-of-this-world warble, and everything in between– the 80/A MN3007 delivers a vintage-correct reimagining and expansion of the original from which it was inspired.

The pedal is capable of a very broad range in terms of LFO/Speed rate (up to approximately 30 sec), and delay time (0.39ms-14ms)

Furthermore, the 80/A MN3007 includes a very useful blend control, which allows the wet modulated signal to be reduced allowing a more subtle effect. New Red and Blue LFO rate indicators now allow a visual confirmation of the speed of the effect.

Controls:

Manual - controls the fixed delay time of the effect. (When a stereo cable is inserted into the Control jack, the manual control will no longer function.)

Range - controls whether the speed control (automatic) or Manual control (fixed) controls the Delay time. FCW = 100% speed control. FCCW = Fixed (Matrix style) 12 oclock is a blend of both

Speed – controls the automatic rate of the LFO (visually displayed via Blue/Red LED)

Blend – New control which restricts the amount of modulated / wet signal mixing with the dry signal. Fully Clockwise is stock setting.(reducing the blend does not reduce the feedback)

Threshold - controls the sensitivity of the Noise Gate circuit which is determined by the intensity of the instruments attack. Fully clockwise minimises this feature. With careful CCW adjustment, the Threshold control can allow an envelope style flange occurring pending the attack and amplitude of the signal fed.

Enhance - Also known as color/feedback/regen, controls the amount of signal regenerated back into the front end of the circuit. This allows the flanger to create a more intense effect.

Level – Allows for output volume adjustment of overall effect

Harmonics Switch – Blue LED = Negative Feedback (hollow tubular sound), Red LED = Positive feedback (fuller sound)

Bass Feedback Reduction Switch – Simple press the White pushbutton switch adjacent to the Level control to reduce the amount of Bass frequencies in the feedback circuit. (Tames the Boom!)

Control - expression pedal jack allowing the Manual control to be controlled externally using a 10K – 100K potentiometer.

(Ring - Pot pin 1, Sleeve - Pot pin 2, Tip - Pot pin 3)

Technical Specs:

  • Matsushita / Panasonic 1024-stage Bucket Brigade Device
  • Does NOT use  low voltage BBD Chip, resulting in higher headroom when the effect is engaged
  • True bypass operation
  • 18V DC centre negative power supply requirements; no battery option available
  • Dimensions: 112 x 60 x 31mm / 4.4" x 2.36" x 1.22" (enclosure only)
  • Current draw: 35 mA
  • There are no internal adjustable trimpots. Changing their position will result in a non functioning pedal.
  • Please only use high quality 18VDC regulated power supply with Boss style Negative tip.
  • Cheap switchmode power supplies, will guarantee noise issues and performance issues!

It is recommended to use a high quality power supply (see above) to avoid such issues.
