***this is the special jerry garcia tuned version. inspired by multiple requests to capture the tone of jerry's colorsound wah of the 1972 European tour, and specifically COPENHAGEN in april! this has become a bestseller of the joe-sonic rainbow. joe tunes each wah individually to get this sound, users have reported he succeeded in this mission! Featuring tie dye tread insert with clear tread pieces and matching front art.

musicians have told us that their favorite vintage wah they ever owned was a 70s colorsound. and for good reason: they have a unique throaty sound and bright 'squish' in the top end that is unlike any other wah.
 
NOT JUST a crybaby or vox clone, the colorsound was a derivative of the early Marshall Supa Wah,  a British take on wah- quite different from the vox clones in many ways.

PROBLEM: a lot of the originals are very worn out. thin shell metal, worn out axles , scratchy pots.

solution! now, we have duplicated and improved this circuit for present day RELIABLE use. ROAD, stage or studio.

we have rebuilt, modded and restored 500+ vintage wahs. among these were many colorsounds and musonics ( US made version of same circuit). we have measured , played, and experimented for 3 years to perfect this circuit.

these all make the wah fully adjustable for volume matching and full growl. this allows you to tailor the response to any pickups or guitar, bass ,etc.   ~~~anything from stock colorsound sweetness all the way to funkified nasty growl ( and many in between!). Jerry Garcia settings are set by Joe before shipping and marked for future reference.

-special vintage low gain/ low noise silicon transistors specially selected for correct '70s low gain- no more harsh highs.

-expensive metallized poly and other high quality caps in key tone path locations.

-standard 9V power jack for use with power supply, also uses 9v battery with high quality clip.
