With only a handful of truly great examples in existence the '59 PAF is likely the most imitated guitar pickup ever produced. Many claim to have unlocked the key to supreme '59 PAF tone. My bet is few who make these claims have ever been in the same room as a set of '58-'59 PAF humbuckers.

I'm fortunate to have a friend with not just a '59 but a '57, a '59 and a '61 Les Paul. The '57 and '59 have all original solder joints, very rare and unmolested. I spent several days playing and documenting every spec I have the ability to measure on the three guitars.

After weeks of winding coils and sorting through many spools of 42awg plain enamel wire I was able to duplicate the inductance/ohm readings of the '59 pickups using our custom alnico magnets.

Constructed using the components specially manufactured for the Top Shelf pickup line. The cellulose acetate butyrate bobbins are unique to the Top Shelf '59 Ltd. model and are specially made bone white like the original Gibson bobbins were before 60+ years changed them into the cream color we recognize today.

They are 7.8k, 8.0k un-potted, in your choice of raw nickel or shiny nickel plated covers.(The aged version of this set has its own listing).
Amazing clarity with bloom superior to the original samples (not kidding) they are clear and articulate even when pushed hard. They are likely the most musical pickups in the Onamac Windery Top Shelf line. Please note these are Top Shelf '59 Ltd. pickups which are different than the standard Top Shelf '59 pickups listed elsewhere.

Unfortunately like many things lately there are shortages and prices have increased drastically on many raw materials especially nickel, copper and nickel silver (which is 60% copper). This has forced the need to raise prices. I've made a true effort over the years to keep my prices as reasonable as possible.
As inventory items are depleted and have to be replenished with higher priced materials many of the other models will have price increases as well.
