Grommes Custom Vintage Tube Amp 1960’s

This is a great looking and amazing sounding custom tube amp in a Bell & Howell cabinet! The chassis is a modified Grommes 55PG High Fidelity amp that is based on 2 6v6, 3 12AX7, and a 5Y3. The speaker is a 12” Rola from 1968. Vintage through and through! There is a volume control and two speaker outputs on the chassis as well as volume, treble and bass on the front panel.

The amp is loud and has a ton of bite to it, runs mostly clean with only slight breakup at higher volumes so perfect for Jazz or to run some pedals in front of it. The tone has all the depth and warmth you expect from a tube amp, and plenty of clean volume. The cabinet is felt-lined wood composite and is in nice shape with only minor dings. It clamps shut and has vents in the back, you can pull the power cord out the bass port in front and never open the cabinet. Very unique and one of a kind piece! Has a 3 prong plug for safety.
