Yamaha SG-800 1981 - Persimmon Red

We are SOFT NOISE AUDIO, a vintage and second hand guitar dealership based in Dublin Ireland.

We aim to supply a wide range of rare and interesting vintage/second hand guitars, basses, along with a huge range or new high end boutique effect pedals and other rare treasures that can be viewed On our website.

On our SOFT NOISE AUDIO website we offer excellent hard to find second hand equipment at fair and reasonable prices.

We are self confessed gear nerds and as such our first aim is always to excite ourselves with the gear we bring in, believing that if we achieve that then our customers will be equally excited by our offerings.
We are tired of seeing the same items in every store we enter for as long as we can remember so we wanted to offer something different.

We get regular deliveries so we are always freshening up our inventory to keep things from getting stale.

New items will appear On our website multiple times a week!

We also are happy to chat so feel free to get in touch with any questions or to negotiate deals On our SOFT NOISE AUDIO website.

Embrace the golden era of Japanese guitar building with this stunning 1981 Yamaha SG800 in a gorgeous, translucent Persimmon Red finish. Built in the legendary Hamamatsu factory, the SG800 offers the iconic double-cutaway look and powerhouse sustain of the legendary SG2000, but in a lighter, more agile package.Featuring a resonant Nato body paired with a solid Maple top, a comfortable one-piece mahogany set-neck, and a smooth rosewood fingerboard, this guitar is built to sing. It comes equipped with its original high-output humbuckers and Yamaha's famous Bi-Sound push/push coil-splitting system, allowing you to seamlessly transition from deep, warm humbucker growl to crisp, biting single-coil twang at the press of a knob. This 45-year-old vintage beauty is in highly original condition, complete with authentic Yamaha Japan tuners, amber top-hat knobs, and the iconic headstock flower motif. It shows just the right amount of light cosmetic edge wear to give it true vintage character without sacrificing performance.
