Sonosax SX-M2D2 with professionally made adapter cable set – OLED burn-in
For sale is my Sonosax SX-M2D2, a compact, high-quality two-channel microphone/line preamplifier with AD/DA conversion, USB audio interface, digital connectivity, headphone amplifier and internal mixer.
The sale includes a comprehensive set of professionally made adapter cables. These provide connections for the unit’s TA3 sockets and are relatively expensive to purchase separately.

- 1 × AES/EBU input cable
- 1 × AES/EBU output cable
- 1 × stereo output cable to 2 × RCA
The SX-M2D2 features two high-quality microphone/line inputs, 48 V phantom power, AES3/AES42 connectivity, USB audio, an analogue line output, headphone monitoring and extensive routing and mixing options.
The unit has been used professionally for classical music recordings and as a USB audio interface, and has always been handled with care.
Condition and known issues
The housing is in very good used condition. There are slight marks on the underside from previously attached hook-and-loop tape.
The OLED display has visible burn-in. Depending on the menu and displayed content, lines and residual symbols or other display elements can be seen in the background. The burn-in affects the display’s appearance and is documented in the photos. All menus and settings remain accessible and usable. I am not aware of any effect on audio quality.
Different settling behaviour between the two level meters has also been observed during power-up, even with identical gain settings. This observation concerns the start-up process; it is not a measurement of a persistent level difference between the audio channels.
The price reflects these known issues. Please examine the display photos carefully before purchasing.
