For sale is a pair of black Avantone Pro Active MixCube active reference studio monitors, complete with their two original Avantone power supplies.

The MixCube is not a conventional studio monitor. It was specifically designed as a secondary reference monitor, carrying forward the philosophy of the iconic Auratone 5C Sound Cube. Its purpose is not to make everything sound beautiful, but rather to provide an honest and revealing reference of how a mix translates to simpler, real-world playback systems.

The original Auratones became a staple in countless professional studios over the decades, and Avantone brought that same concept into the modern studio environment with the MixCube.

The Active MixCube uses a single 5.25-inch full-range driver with no separate tweeter, housed in a sealed cabinet. This makes it particularly useful for evaluating the critical midrange, vocals, guitars, bass, snare, and the overall balance of a mix.

The active version features 60 watts RMS of Class A/B amplification, a usable frequency response of 90 Hz–17 kHz, and up to 104 dB SPL, with a balanced XLR/TRS combo input.

This is an earlier-generation Active MixCube, finished in the distinctive high-gloss black cabinet with the red aluminium heatsink on the rear. Each monitor comes with its own Avantone PS-MC power supply.

The pair will be carefully packed and shipped to the buyer in its own box.
