A genuine 1955 Fender Pro 5E5 — the early, rare three-control version — and absolutely NOT the later 5E5-A.

Built during one of the most magical periods in Fender history, this early Pro sits right at the crossroads of the legendary Tweed Deluxe and the larger professional amplifiers that would follow. It has the unmistakable 5E3-family DNA, but with a much bigger voice, a 15” speaker and the authority of a true Pro.

And when you plug a guitar into one of these, you immediately understand why the early Tweed Fenders have become legendary. This is Fender at its most elemental.

At the heart of this particular example is its Jensen P15N, with C4964 speaker code and this is where the 5E5 becomes something truly special, the low end is enormous without becoming slow, the mids have that unmistakable woody, vocal quality, the highs remain open and alive, while the entire amplifier seems to breathe with every note.

Play softly and it responds immediately, Dig in and it pushes back, Turn the guitar volume down and it cleans up, Turn it back up and the amp starts to growl.
