About this listing
Offering a first generation 1940's vintage Shure 55S Dynamic Microphone. The 55S, "S" meaning small, was Shure's follow-up to the larger "Fatboy" 55 model, and has been a staple in both broadcast and recording studio environments. All of the internals on this one are in great working order, and perform with strong clear output. (Check out the voice sample in the listing video.) The 55S is very desirable for live stage speech and music performances, especially in "throwback" settings. It's always prized for its iconic look and reliable sound, with a distinctive visual style that always adds presents wherever it is used. This one is in very decent shape, mild signs from age/use, maker's badge is very clear & readable, the pivot joint holds the tilt angle firmly in place. Mic has been thoroughly sanitized, with new Blue screen cloth on the front side, black on the back. This sale includes both a short cable adapter to male XLR plug, plus the basic display desk stand.** WE BUY YOUR OLD MICROPHONES...INVENTORY UPDATED REGULARLY ** ** Competitive prices, fair shipping, great service!
