1979 Fender Stratocaster 25th Anniversary with the original early run Deluxe Sperzel Tuners before Fender swapped them to Schaller tuners for most of the later run of the Anniversary models. This appears to be one of the rare models with the Porsche Inca Silver paint OVER the originally intended Huffy Bicycle White paint job. The first 500 or so guitars were exclusively in white, bit this proved to be a disaster. Many were repainted by Fender under warranty. On models that had been painted white but not yet shipped out, Fender stopped using the Huffy Bicycle paint and decided to use Porche's Inca Silver automotive paint. Some of the early models had this sprayed over white, creating the gold-ish hue finish you see here over the years. Lager models were just sprayed in the Silver. You can see in the relic worn areas the white underneath the Silver before you get to the bare wood. It looks AWESOME. This is the natural relic look that people are paying thousands extra for at the Fender Custom Shop and the Gibson Murphy Lab Custom Shop. Why pay extra for something mass produced today when you cam have the real deal from 1979? The guitar has the highly desirable oversized "Hendrix" headstock with the 60s 4-bolt neck plate. The guitar has natural relic aging and wear over the entire body and neck, but this has no impact on the playability of the guitar. The frets have virtually no wear!Worldwide shipping to any country.
