The HyperGravity is a flexible digital compressor built around TC Electronic’s multiband compression technology. Its Spectra mode processes the low, middle, and high-frequency ranges independently, helping control dynamics without the heavy pumping sometimes associated with conventional single-band compressors. TC Electronic states that the multiband mode uses technology derived from the MD3 compression algorithm found in its System 6000 studio processor.

The pedal provides three selectable compression modes:

• Spectra: transparent studio-style multiband compression.
• TonePrint: loads customizable or artist-created compressor presets.
• Vintage: more pronounced traditional stompbox compression with additional squash and sustain.

The four main controls are Sustain, Level, Attack, and Blend. Sustain determines the amount of compression, Level controls the overall output, Attack determines how quickly full compression is applied, and Blend mixes the compressed signal with the unaffected dry signal for parallel compression.

TonePrint presets can be transferred through the TonePrint app or edited from a computer using the pedal’s Mini-USB connection. The USB port can also be used for compatible firmware updates. The original USB Type-A to Mini-B cable shown in the photographs is included.

The pedal uses analog dry-through, meaning the unaffected dry signal is not digitally converted. True bypass is the default configuration, while buffered bypass can be selected using an internal DIP switch.

The pedal is in very good cosmetic condition overall. The metallic turquoise enclosure presents well, but there are visible light scratches, small marks, dust marks, and normal storage or handling signs, particularly on the front surface and around the footswitch. The knobs, mode switch, LED lens, footswitch, input and output sockets, USB port, power socket, battery cover, serial label, and rubber feet all appear intact.

The original box is included and has visible storage wear, surface marks, scuffs, edge wear, and minor compression. The original USB cable is included in its plastic bag. No external power supply is included.
